Ditto - I'm a bit too possessive of my books also. I recently lent out a 1940's Japanese book on origami, but that's about it.

if I really want someone to read a book, I generally buy them a copy instead of giving them mine.

Erm... I guess the Hicks one Kenny's referring to is Love All the People... But I could be wrong.
