On behalf of humanity in general, I would like to apologise for the actions of this creature.
We THINK it's probably human, since we're not sure what else it COULD be. But it certainly seems to lack the intelligence usually considered to be one of the criteria for being a member of the species.
Maybe it's some form of evolutionary throwback? We're not sure.
If you manage to find out where it came from, please let us know. We're fairly certain that it's escaped from a private collection at some point, as there have seemingly been attempts made to teach it to read and write. ( Well, either some not-very-successful attempts at that or it's managing to work out the language on its own. Whichever, the end result's the same - a bare minimum level of literacy. )
