Hm, pretty much what the rest have said.
Mouth ulcers:
Anbesol liquid and gel sting and taste like shit so I just stick to Bonjela which also sticks to yor mouth better.
You can get Rinstead pastels and rinse specifically for ulcers but I haven't tried them before.
Try rinsing your mouth out with salt water, an antiseptic mouth wash (i.e. Corsodyl) or even soluble aspirin.
If you get them a lot it might be because you've been stressed out or run down recently in which case a pick-me-up tonic or some vitiman B would do you good.
Cold sores:
If the cold sore has already broken out then fuck paying out 6 quid for Zovirax because it wont be too effective, just stick to something cheap.
Also if it has already broken out there's a brand called Soothlip which is a lot cheaper and should work identically.
I've got mouth ulcers just now and I'm gonna smack my face off a wall in a minute. Last night to make matters worse I drunk what I thought was a cooled down cup of tea and it just flared them right back up.
