I was using a Sony ATRAC3 CD Player for about a year, so on a normal 80 min CD you could fit 30 hours of music on it, which is pretty AWESOME if you ask me.
but now I've got a Creative Labs Zen which in my opinion is much better than the Ipod, it can hold .wma files (which the Ipod couldn't) and has a battery life of around 30 hours (Ipod has around 8 hours) and it's easy to use, and is infact cheaper. the model I have can hold upto 10,000 songs.
I strongly recommend it.
