Punk is where its at it seems, although let me listen to pop punk, and i'll kill you soon after.
Industrial, probably falls under the metal banner.. its the only genre I can say I like more than all the others...

True enough, but if you go by 'which genre do most bands I like usually get placed in', it's punk by a mile.
I did a quick count the other day - cool, I know - and of the 120 albums I have proper storage for (the rest are in several dangerous looking towers...), 62 were 'unarguably' punk without another 20 or so you could argue the toss about... so, punk!
