| Re: Sony pays $1.5m over fake critic I have been watching this story as it developed.
Bad Sony.
It is a rarity that any poster has quotes that have not been hacked about. Words are always cut from sentences so that when it is placed on the poster it appears that the review was good. I love the films that most good critics hate but you get someone at Smash Hits or Take a Break or some awful magazine enjoying it and those quotes are put on the posters.
I rarely read reviews before I see a film as it is all about personal choice. Hollywood has certain names people use if they do not wish to be associated with a film (often a director). A fake critic was the next. Being the cynic that I am I don't believe reviewers never get back handers from studios to put in good reviews anyway.
Interesting situation though. I wonder if there were more out there?
