The point is that someone so much in the public eye should say something so insensitive, it basically gives away the fact that she lives in a rich person's fairy land. Now, because she was responsible for the upbringing of the man who is currently running the world's only superpower, she has a tremendous amount of responsibility in the words she chooses lest we should come to the conclusion that Mr Bush lives in a similar world, which is already a very likely scenario.

At least her son has loads of advisors and speachwriters to keep him from making a complete idiot of himself.
