also - some cover ups can be made a lot easier, particularly if they're very dark, with a couple of shots of lazer treatment - that will expand your choices in what you want your new tattoo to be like.
Bigger cover-ups than the original tattoo is spot on, it's easier to divert the eye from a darker part of the tattoo to disguise where the original offending tattoo was.
