| Writer Support forum. What’s that then?
This forum is for writers of fiction.
We’ve always accepted submissions of ‘forum fiction’ and if we didn’t think they were quite up to scratch, the editorial team would discuss how to improve the piece over private messages with the author.
We’ve decided to make the process a bit more open (for those who want it to be—this is by no means compulsory). From now on, unless you ask us not to, we’ll probably push fiction which we feel isn’t quite right yet into this here subforum.
The idea is that you can take your feedback and criticism publically, and other writers on AltNation can join in the process, making writing more collaborative around here. Hopefully it’ll provide encouragement, not just pelters. We’ll see.
Anybody who wants to is welcome to start threads in here with half-formed ideas, bits of prose, or whatever they like. It’s a forum for the process of writing fiction, whereas the Fiction forum is for finished pieces we want to publish to our front page. |
