As a Private Members Club, admission can be refused to anyone, even if they are a member. A Member, however, would have a slightly greater right of redress if they felt the refusal was not warranted.

The reciprocal agreement system basically has one requirement: that the institution in question can afford the same privilege to our members. If the institution in question doesn't have licensed premises, then there is no reciprocity.

Most technical colleges and the like lack licenses, so they aren't eligible. The situation becomes more complicated when you bring in foreign universities. I think (but couldn't swear to it) that we accept the International Student Card as photo-ID, but not for reciprocal entry. If someone has ID from a US University there'd be a question raised because drinking age is 21.

It'll likely get knocked about at the next Board Meeting, and I'm sure Gill will cover the issue in Board Training.
