I reckon that the kid should have taken the hint and complied with their commands right at the begining but at the same time i'm pretty shocked at the lack of power by the cops, there are 3-4 of them vs. one skinny UCLA student, and he's not putting up a huge fight other than a bit of shouting, yet it takes them a good 5 minutes and a number of taser shots to get him under control ( i liked the fact that one of the cops just seemed to say 'stand up, stand up' over and over again, rather than actually doing anything).
In this country it would have taken two cops with any very little public order training less than a minute to get him cuffed and in the back of a van and they wouldn't even touch their batons or CS spray.
dunno if this vid has been posted already, and to be honest the video it's self is a bit pish, but it serves as a wee bit more evidence of the culture gap between here and 'oor there. | I don't know if the length of time it took them to get him under control is really the issue here, I'm looking at their ineptitude from quite a different angle.
