Its creationism at its hardcorest. god created man from dust and clay, and woman was borne of adam's rib, which god removed after putting him into a deep sleep. I think god created man on the 6th day, I think ladies came a little later...not too up on my bible right now.
your hardcore creationists will argue that the book of genesis is exactly how the universe was created, and they argue for it being taught as a science in schools, which, if im not mistaken, is already done so in some schools in the US. given the choice, id take the aliens myself, but different strokes for different folks.
