Logically, a band’s debut most often comes from years of work, years of writing, performing, etc. It’s a culmination. The follow up can often be a real letdown because it’s thrown together a hell of a lot more quickly.
That’s a massive generalisation of course, and is only true for something like half the bands out there. A lot of acts work better under pressure and a lot of music owes it’s very soul to being knocked together on a whim. |
