| Re: Best debut album ever? kinda true but some acts get better and better. or maybe in the case of oasis just better 'cause i think morning glory is much better than definitely maybe. some people say reggatta de blanc was the best police album but i still love the original for the same reasons you said. what about the pixies? i don't know their first album but if it was as good as doolittle or bossanova then it must be brilliant. jimi hendrix too, electric ladyland was seminal but even though that's bewildering i still love the rawness of are you experienced. likewise i can't imagine the beatles' first album being as good as their latter ones. it is interesting thinking about the evolvement of bands. like some people say pink floyd were much better with syd barret but most people like their stuff after him, kinda similar with peter gabriel and genesis
talking about metal though, i think system of a down will be regarded as one of the best bands of all time. lol the amount of stuff they put into their tunes
