I agree, you get paid to offer a service. If you don't like it, get another job.
I work in a one-manned bar in a gig venue that often gets really busy and really loud, but i do a cracking job (if i do say so myself) and always manage to be polite and helpful. It's what i'm paid to do so i do it. I don't see how anyone else can't.
Bad service really gets my goat.
