A service job is a service job though, whether you work in the poshest bar in Britain or in a McDonalds in Maryhill. Its doesn't cost anything to smile and it is part of the job to be nice to customers. I have to do it every weekend with hundreds of pished, arrogant indie kids, but I still do
because its my job. The majority of the catty barstaff are dour, unhelpful and do come across as arrogant (although a few of them are nice and pleasent and therefore, get tips).
