Well I'm not getting my information from ignorance, that's for sure. If you check the national statistics for unemployment rates, there is a decline in unemployment in the mid-late to late 90s onward. We don't have 100% employment, this is true but we don't live in a communist state. The 1st link gives data from 1971-2004 and the second link is for current data. The unemployment rate is currently 5.5% compared to a whopping nearly 12% in the 1980s. Suppose it all depends on your definition of mass unemployment and where/what your sources are..doesn't it?
