One of the side effects of diphenhydramine hydrochloride (Nytol) is tachycardia (fucked up heartbeat) - it's a known thing and should probably have been on the warning label on the bottle.
I still use melatonin to help my sleep pattern out. Had a run-in with a fucked up heartbeat issue with a Nytol similar product (in the US it's marketed as Benadryl, same ingredient and dosage but used as an antihistamine for allergy season) and switched over to 10mg of Zyrtec (a non-drowsy antihistamine) |
