At the moment, I don't think the Wii really needs saving. It's still selling thousands of units a week and demand is still outstripping supply in Asia and parts of Europe and America.
That said, I sort of agree with what your saying about the consoles not being worth they're price yet. It's still early days as far as the 'console war' is concerned, and unlike the Gamecube/ps2/Xbox generation, I don't think there are going to be as clear markets for the three consoles.

Nintendo could definatly have done with pumping out some more titles between the Wii's launch and Q3 07. They seem to like doing things very slowly these days, which is good for game quality I suppose.
