well since attaching them to
dermal implants are out of the question i reckon he's gone the whole hog
(oops, wrong thread) and had studs drilled right into the bone, like for replacement implant teeth.
HOWEVER it's a lot of trouble to go to considering the skull has
no frickin' eyes anyway.
