| Ipswich Town to be bought by Marcus Evans It looks like a deal is soon to be closed whereby multi-millionnaire, Marcus Evans will buy Ipswich Town Football Club. If the sale is agreed, ITFC's £35M debt will be wiped and around £12M will be made available to manager, Jim Magilton, to spend on players.
This might seem like small change to OF fans, but to ITFC, this is major news and should spell the end to a decade or more of difficult times where the club were forced into voluntary liquidation.
Marcus Evans is a recluse and is rarely photographed, but if this deal goes through he might become the quiet hero to the Tractor Boys. The team is currently 4th in the Championship and losing the debt they are in may help bolster a push for promotion this season.
Let the good times roll.
