Get the dentist to phone your work and tell them that there were complications, or that some nature of the procedure drugs, pain or whatever means you really shouldn't be in work, and he's rushing you to an emergency orthadontal surgeon. Or if not the dentist corner someone on the street who looks 'toothy'.
