- - - PANGEA are very pleased to announce our 2nd annual DJ COMPETITION!!! - - - 
Last year, PANGEA brought four budding Drum & Bass DJs to our Dundee club night and had them battle it out in front of a capacity crowd, with the aim of showcasing the local musical talent that we knew was out there, and to give one lucky winner a prize that would help him to up his game to the next level!
We were amazed by the quality AND the quantity of the entrants to last year's competition - and the winner, Stirling's DJ Laconic, has since gone on to build his own very successful club night DILATE, and has been picking up bookings at some of the top dnb nights in Scotland, as well as numerous radio shows.
Now, in 2008, we're doing all this again, and we're hoping this years competition will be even better.
Follow the rules below and submit your most rinsing mix to us asap to be in with a chance of winning!
Rules:
- Entries to the competition should take the form of a 30 minute Drum & Bass mix ONLY.
- Mixes must be submitted as an .mp3 file via the internet. We will confirm receipt of all mixes by email. If you can't get an .mp3 file done, contact one of the Pangea crew and we'll try and sort something out.
- Mixes must have your Name, DJ Name/Forum Alias, Email, & Mobile Phone Number emailed to us in conjunction with web submissions.
- We ask that Entrant DJs should NOT be resident at any other club night - we are trying to encourage new talent to emerge.
- Don't use anything like Ableton, or any beat matching equipment. We want to hear peoples mixing ability! Cheaters will be publicly ridiculed.
- If you require CD turntables on the night, please specify this when you submit your mix.
- There will be 4 finalists chosen from the submitted mixes by the PANGEA crew: (JZY, JEKT, Professor Fresh, Special Ed & MC Troubla)
- Final competition will take place in September
- Judging of final competition will be performed by the PANGEA crew based on four categories:
- “Technical skill”
- “Crowd reaction”
- “Tune Selection”
- “Vital Spark” (The “X Factor”)
