Right now I'm reading Geek Love by Katherine Dunn, about a family of circus freaks, and The Ruby in the Smoke by Phillip Pullman, both of which I'd highly reccomend. Also try Maus, graphic novel about the Holocaust and survivors trying to deal with the repercussions, by far the most moving narrative on World War Two I've ever read. Also second the F. Scott Fitzgerald motion. |
