Re: Hellboy 2 - The Golden Army

The first movie was hideously flawed in many ways but still totally won me over.

John Hurt, Selma Blair, Doug Jones and David Hyde-Pierce were all brilliant in their roles and, although Ron Perlmans work is definitely an aquired taste, he fits the character so, so perfectly.

A lot of the first film seemed so clumsy to me as the character of Myers just didn't fit anywhere. It just looked like they'd wedged him in there to have a 'normal' perspective. No offence to Rupert Evans (There was nothing particularly wrong with his performance) but I'm glad his character isn't returning.

Wonder if Hyde-Pierce will accept a credit this time.
