| Re: Traveling Alone i spent 11 months travelling on my own, north america, south america, new zealand, australia and south east asia and the number of people you meet is unbelievable. think about it, anyone embarking on a massive trip is unlikely to have a mate who has the money/desire/time to do it with them at that particular time and want to see the places you want to see. the majority of people who go on these type of trips do it on their todd. stay in youth hostels and you will come back with a notepad crammed full of email addresses. all it takes is a wee bit of banter and you'll be fine and as obvious as it sounds you always have ice breakers when your away ie 'where you from/been.going/etc'.
from meeting folk for a night on the piss never to see them again to finding out they are going the same direction as you and getting a train/bus together to hitting it off big time with someone and spending months working/travelling with them you will have no problems.
there was not one city/town/place i went where i met nobody even if its just talking to locals in pubs and stuff. |
