And how does my point not stand?
I was asked if there's a link between simulated violence and real violence, with the insinuation that I'm somehow out of order for abhorring real violence but having sci-fi weapons in my avatar and sig... Folk have tried to use that argument before "You say you hate violence, but you own a company that allows people to shoot each other.".
It is a silly argument.
If I ran a company that allowed people to kick random passersby for no good reason, then thet point would be a good one.
As it stands, it's a daft argument.
If someone's broken enough to enjoy hurting random strangers, they'll do something. the only tenuous link to recreational simulated violence, be it video games, movies or wargames, is the possibility of an effect upon the exact form the violent act may take.
