I think I'm more swaying towards it because of the lower risk and side-effect profile (my mood swings and weight gain are pissing me right off). Having gynae exams don't bother me in the slightest cos I've seen (and done!) enough of them to be pretty immune to the embarrassment factor.
Apprarently it can be pretty uncomfortable to get it in, especially if you haven't had kids (cos your cervix is tighter), but again that doesn't bother me.
