I found Samyé Ling is quite commercial. It reminds me of some of the Christian sects from the US in some ways, although I'm sure it's just the Monks adapting to survive in a country where they can't survive off the kindness and faith of others. That said, my cousin is a horrific advert for Buddhism. I don't actually know a more money grabbing, self obsessed WAG-type then her, yet she's getting married at Samyé Ling next month. |

well, it's the place to go for lectures, discussions, research and also conversion into buddhism. they have a lot of books and that in their mini library as well as people who live the buddhism life on a daily basis and practice and learn it constantly. |
