That is completely beside the point I was making. I was saying that with reference to bacterial infection (as IYGN was told was the reason piercings had the waiting period), the 6/12 month period was completely arbritrary. Yes, there is a period of dormancy with regards to viral infections that should be taken into account, but if after 6 months a blood test is completely negative, shouldn't that also be taken into account?
