have you tried Rokpa in the west end? (sorry if someones already mentioned it, i only gave the thread a quick skim) yeah so they are pretty good, they've got all the usual set meditation /yoga classes and the like, but if i remember correctly you can just drop in any time. They've got a wee shop and library, and i found the people really nice, although generally buddhists arent the most talkative of people, so you may need to keep pestering them to answer your questions.
I must admit when i studied buddhim in higher RMPS , i thought it was a load of ...well ya know. Its only recently through a friend at work, ive became interested in it again. The cool thing about it is though, you can adapt it and follow a system of beliefs that suits/helps you.
I had my first visit to Samye Ling last month and thought it was great, im still not too up to scratch on the Buddhist philosophies etc but it was just such a nice experience, to get away from everything and remove yourself from everything else thats going on. I felt kinda spaced out when i came back for a few days......Think im gonna head back down in summer for one of the yoga weekends
