That's one quote from a wider argument, the point of which was to put forward my opinion that what goes on in someone's head, whatever that may be, is morally neutral. Morally neutral doesn't necessarily mean they should be encouraged or that they shouldn't be discouraged, just that they shouldn't be subject to punishment.
No-one's sticking up for child abusers here.
Regarding the subject of this thread, he's obviously putting forward some opinions which definitely
should be challenged, but he's neither been accused of nor charged with any crime and I think it's valuable (and fairly ballsy of him) that he's willing to articulately and rationally discuss his opinions. It's pretty sad that his willingness to do so is met with "yaaaaaahhhheeeeeeeaaaaargrgggghh BURN HIM, KILL HIM yeaaaarrrrrhhjjjjgghhh FROTH FROTH FROTH". We can learn from him and we're better placed to discourage and challenge him (and others with similar views) if we can sit and hear them out.
Then no-one needs to get burned, and we can save the wood for a barbeque.
In fact, I think anyone who would take satisfaction or enjoyment from seeing him burned is at least as fucked up in the head as he is himself. But, hey, as long as you're only imagining him being burned or talking about how ace it would be, I wouldn't want to see you punished for it.
So, anway, go ahead and misread all of this as "paedo protection" as will doubtlessly happen.
