| Re: EPL & SPL Winners and Relegation: The Vote before the Transfer Window. Mine are: Win the EPL: Arsenal - if they bring in a few players to exapand the squad and continue on like they did this season, but with the added experience of failing at the end I think they can push on and do it. Relegated from the EPL: Bolton, Stoke and West Brom - I think Bolton have lost it since Fat Sam left for Newcastle, and even more since they sold Anelka. With rumours that Diouf is for the off as well, I don't think they can attract the sort of player that can replace them and keep them up next season. Stoke, I fear for them since I've seen them at times in the Championship and they haven't looked solid enough as a unit from midfield to defence and in the EPL I fear they could go the way of Derby. As for West Brom, I think they have a very good chance since they're the 'Arsenal of the Championship', but they've always had the creative players to outscore teams in the Championship, their frail defence may come back to haunt them in the EPL. Win the SPL: Celtic - They're my team and I believe they have the squad to win the SPL every year these days. A few signings in the summer, particularly a ball winning midfielder and a striker and we're laughing. Relegated from the SPL: Hamilton - I can't see them staying up, even if I do look forward to seeing them play. They've a cracking youth development system that gives the kids in Hamilton every chance to make it and run their club the way lower level teams should. James McCarthey, if they keep him, should be interesting coming up against guys like Hartley, Ferguson etc every week too. But I don't think they'll have enough to stay up/ |
