Jzy - My point is that the "new version" of the Simpsons didn't just change a few jokes because the humour wouldn't translate. They altered the entire premise of the show, because they apparently find it offensive.
They could have made their own, unrelated, non-offensive show, but obviously The Simpsons wasn't
so offensive that they didn't want to capitalise on its popularity.
