Who said anything about "higher high's" or "lower low's"?
I was more relating "passion stakes" to sports or hobbies (since, you know, cricket is being compared to football earlier in the thread).
..and who are you to say it's sad if a person hasn't experianced a "lower low" than a crushing last minute defeat to a fierce rival or a "higher high" than winning a trophy?
Everyones different, and someones team winning the league or a match could release the same amount of endorphyns into someones body as Skydiving would for another person.
Doesn't mean they aren't "living life", or are "sad" - it just means they get a greater satisfaction out of sharing a special moment with 60,000 friends and a team they love so much than something a "normal" person would get a huge kick out of.
If you can relate to it a bit more;
I love football, like you love pies, not showering for weeks, and telling those "KAAAAAR-AYYYYY-ZEEEE" tour stories.

Football.
Those that understand, need no explanation.
Those that don't, don't need to know.
etc.
