So why can't I have a passion for more than one thing?
Why can't I love alot of things, immensely?

I'm not saying there's anything wrong about feeling passionate about football, I didn't even make the original comment. I just think to say that not many things beat it passionwise, is a bit of a shame.

You aren't saying theres "anything wrong with it"...but it's a shame?
Logic.
It's not a shame, and It's hillarious that someone posting on website called "alternative nation" can't accept that other people are more passionate about things other than the normal.
What's wrong with being madly passionate about football if it happens to be the thing they look forward to most?
If they find it to be the most exciting thing to do at this point in their lives?
If following their team is their favourite thing to do?
What is wrong with that?
Most folk live for boozing at the weekends, yet, living for football at the weekends is sad.

and this wee "joke", illustrates my point.
Drugs - an acceptable high in Scottish society.
Football - a shame if you love it
that much you get a huge buzz out of it.

If that's the thing you're most passionate about, and you're happy with that, what does my opinion matter.
|
It seriously doesn't matter, well to me at least.
It might irk other people, I'm just trying to let you understand but the bottomline is, as Rosco has insinuated, you won't, unless you are involved.
Which you clearly aren't, so hereth endth the confusion.

This thread was originally about football fans acting like children, no? Any chance of directing it back to that rather than why football is good and why it isn't?

If yer not involved in football or it's passion, you wont understand.
