After travelling and accomodation its a big difference to people who work hard to save lives.
I did not expect you to agree as i've stated above, I'm also not going to argue, we have both stated out points and that is fair enough.

The point many of us have had to make is that throughout university we've been under the impression that we were going to get free accomodation for the first year after university. Due to this, and the fact that we HAVE to work in two completely separate hospitals for the first two years of work (which, in the west of Scotland, one of which must be in the city, and one out of the city), many people bought flats in Glasgow with a view of taking up the peripheral accomodation for the first year, then moving back into Glasgow for the second year onwards. What are those people supposed to do for the year they have to work out of the city? Most of the hospitals are outwith a reasonable commute (Dumfries and Ayr, both fantastic hospitals but not reasonable to commute to from the city every day for an 8.30-7.30 or later shift), so are these people supposed to give up their place on the property ladder? Move out of their established flat to live in what are essentially student digs for a year, to then buy a whole new flat again the next year? Rent out? I found myself in this exact position and thus had to give up my place in Dumfries where many of my friends are working and where I had intended to work for quite a while because I simply couldn't afford to keep my own flat and pay for the single small room, shared kitchen and shared bathroom in Dumfries.
We're not whining about nothing - maybe to you, Kier, free accomodation is a luxury we can afford to do without but you evidently don't understand the finer points of the issue.
