I was doing the exact opposite of bragging: my first digital camera cost £600 and was 3.1MP. My 10D cost £1300 and is 6.3MP. You can get twice the resolution for a third of the price these days
And yeah, it doesn't much matter anyway - helpful if you want to crop into just a small area of a picture you took which I do from time to time.
