So two teams have made it out of the country - one in Las Palmas and one in Alicante.
Apparently one of the teams was offered a flight to Iceland but refused cos they reckoned they wouldn't be able to get back, gutted. Another team hitch hiked to Birmingham in a truck with bunkbeds in the back driven by a one-toothed guy called Timmy, a stroke of luck that they're still alive I think!
Estimates from last night in the QM are that between these guys and the nonsense happening in the building last night we've raised around £3,500 - not bad! |
