Which bit of my original comment was smug and in what way? You've never explained, but then I guess thats the whole point for you. Feel free to offer alternative wording for my orignal post.
And by the way, having a degree doesnt instantly prove intelligence. I may have one but I'm not about to throw it around to claim I'm intelligent or have an outstanding IQ (pretty damn sure I dont anyway...).

re. your comment and the critique thereof, I found it smug. There's not much to elaborate on, you didn't give me a lot to work with. The collection of words made it sound very self-congratulatory (which, to be fair, is an appropriate tone for an apparently well done night). I don't know what else to say beyond that, it just irked me.
re. IQ, I agree, IQ tests mean nothing. Degrees do (they at least attest to the fact that've you've turned up for exams and offered the minimal requirement). Once more though, they don't mean a whole lot in terms of 'who is smart and who isn't', but again, I didn't raise the issue of intelligence; I was defending myself.
To put an end to it, well done on the night going well. I am bored and I AM trolling, so this'll be my last post in here unless your reply is particularly biting or whatever.
