i'm not sure that follows.
best comparison i can think of is glaswegians saying "chinky" - i think that mostly they don't MEAN it in an offensive way; nonetheless a chinese person would be likely to be offended by the use of the term.
i don't think you have to
set out to be racist to mange to be racist.
but if in australia the people described by the word wog don't themselves see a problem with the word, and the people saying it don't mean to disparage people darker than, say, Les Dennis by using the word, then while i agree that there
IS a helluva racist culture there, that word isn't a part of it.
i wouldn't use that word ever, no matter where i was though...
