I don't like the pessimism...
Sure it may take 10/15/20 years. If we adopt a new approach at grass roots level across the country in schools and local clubs... if the Government provide more pitches and some more funding... it's very realistic.
Binge drinking get's blamed a lot and I know a few good players who didn't make it due to hitting the booze and drugs... basically enjoying teenage life.
However if the schools and authorities start setting a good example then hopefully a kids social life will take back-seat to a promising football career.
Tbh, this opens up a greater discussion... Scottish culture as a whole should adopt a different culture... and this is already widely recognized.

We need more brothel-laden cities like Amsterdam.
After you've spent £50 on a hooker you've got no money to booze!
