| OK, I'm starting to get the feeling this whole 'goth' label is becoming somehting of an issue to people, so I'm going to try a bit of clarification.
Cryotec is basically intended as an electro/industrial night, mainly cos thats what Tailz and myself listen to, and we felt that there wasn't anything in Glasgow that targeted that particular market, and thats no disrespect to Bedlam. As far as this 'goth' thing goes, its pretty much down to the individuals defenition of what goth is. Put it this way, we've never played Bauhaus, and I'll pretty much stake my life that we never will. But I regularly play Battery, L'ame Immortelle and various other bands that some would class as 'goth'. And for what its worth, Papazeb - I've played Deine Lakein tracks before, and Wolfsheim was layed last time round, and see no reason to avoid playing them in future. The only thing I'll say is that I tend to play that stuff earlier on in the night.
Apologies if this post sounds a bit on the frosty side, but I'm not in the best frame of mind right now. As far as I'm concerned, if u ask for it and I've got it, I'll do my best to play it. If I ain't got it, well, you can pretty much figure out the rest for yourselves. And I promise to be less of a miserable bastard by the time Cryotec comes round... |
