i reckon it'd only be wgb and ali up for it (although im doubtful now he has a chick) ( ) i say it'd be a hell of a lot more fun to go to the airport with like £200 or so, get cheap flights somewhere, kip it out on a beach or something?

obviously it'd be cheaper to get returns but i dont know if we could commit to a return date. i wouldnt mind going to ibiza on the friday coming back the tues or whatever, we'd get a spot on the beach at the quiet end no bother.

if we were really lucky i reckon we could get serious cheap ass flights to africa, but im not up on the native animals and shit plus that'd probably only be single way flights

Toe - seriously, how much change do you expect to get out of £200 after paying for flights & accomodation? Or are you actually serious about spending the whole trip sleeping rough?

If no-one's actually interested in this we'll drop it - can easily arrange something on a smaller scale if just a few folk want to get away. If need be me and Butch can find a sexy wee lovenest hideaway somewhere.

If, however, there are a few of you still interested then let me know. Personally I think a UK trip's the way forward but if someone can come up with a viable foreign option I'm all ears (Africa is not viable, Toe!).

If its the last weekend in August then I may make it. A non uk weekend could be possible with cheap Ryanair flights and staying in a hostel. The places that I've been staying are all £15-20/night.

toe has a fairly good idea about the airport thing.

a mate of mine and his missus went on the day to barrhead travel got a weeks holiday-flights hotel etc for about 90 quid. ridiculously cheap but its because its sooo last minute.

If we're willing to go to any random destination, run the risk of not actually getting anything at all and hope that there are enough spaces for eveyone that would be ok but it's a hell of a risk.

I can see a couple getting a last minute cancellation no problem but if there's 5 or 6 of us it's much less likely.

There's probably around 4 or 5 definitely into it so far. Expect a couple more will show interest once/if there's a definite plan in place.

yeah. well have a swatch of last minute holiday places cos they have some really cheap deals. might be able to book up a group at a fairly decent price
