| Re: Reporting bad posts S'been around for a while now, basically people who we think will chip in a fairly diverse array of thoughts when it comes to site related matters. They've got no actual authority but they're allowed in site discussions. It works both ways though, I suppose they're also a kind of watchdog for making sure mods/admins aren't being arses (excessively).

| Re: Reporting bad posts Advisors are folk who have been given access to read & post in Site Discussion areas, but no extra moderating abilities.
They are kinda like a mix of the busiest local-forum mods, folk who may have useful opinions or different viewpoints and folk who will stop the SuperMod / Admin's becoming a clique unto themselves & so prevent bias. (Idealistically.)
They get "rotated" every so often, some drop out, someone new get's brought in, I expect JohnnyMonolith will be asked at some point in time...
or more simply, what Kenny said. |

Basically, yes.
I can advise on stuff, have some input and my say, but giving me any sort of mod power would result in the half the forum population being banned instantly, therefor i get no powers...baa humbug!

| Re: Reporting bad posts I think advisors are a great idea, good to have people who know there way about the site on hand if they are needed.

| Re: Reporting bad posts only thing is we arent listed in the forum leaders page...well we are now that we've been given gallery mod powers but that doesnt really help.
Might be an idea to list the advisers on there as well if possible? You dont get to be an adviser after 2 days on the forum so we do know our way about and you cant guarentee a super/admin online at any particular time. I'd certainly be up for helping folk with problems or at least helping as far as someone with no mod power can ie help folk work the journals or the arcade and tell folk that their problem would need a super/admin to fix so they at least know who to ask. |

| Re: Reporting bad posts but then again most advisers didnt agree to advise just to get hit with "why cant I access the twisted forum?" every 5 minutes...so maybe its a bad idea? |

| Re: Reporting bad posts To be honest, I'd be pretty surprised if there wasn't a supermod or admin on at any given time. And advisors aren't really there to take on the responsibilities when we're not about - I mean, they can help as much as they like, awesome, but it's not a requirement.

| Re: Reporting bad posts And to follow up on Kenny - when I was a supermod I seldom got hit with questions. Starting the first couple of days after the jump to admin - nonstop questions. Always fun. |
