Alternative Nation Community Standards:
Alternative Nation's Communities are for your enjoyment, entertainment, and enlightenment. Below are some basic rules we ask that you follow in addition to our Membership Agreement.
- User Abuse.
Do not flame, harass, bash, abuse, or make threats to any person, any company, or any group. One off insults are not usually considered as abuse. - Posting Content.
Content that is unlawful, obscene, mischievous, vulgar, profane, sexually oriented, racially or religiously discriminating, or otherwise objectionable is not permitted, even if masked. - Alternative Nation and its communities may not be used for commercial purposes.
This includes but is not limited to unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam", "chain letters", "pyramid schemes" or any other form of solicitation. Do not post advertisements in any area that is not specifically designated as an Advertising Area. Even in the designated advertising areas all messages must be of a non-commercial nature. Do not post links for any type of affiliate program with referrer IDs. - Try to stay on topic.
If you would like to discuss a topic that is not related to the topic or forum in which you are participating, try going to another topic or forum or create a new topic. - Do not spam the forums.
If you have something to post and you're not sure which forum it belongs in, do not post it in more than one forum. If you post the same or a very similar message in more than one forum all the messages will be removed. - Do not post copyrighted content without permission from the owner.
Do not post any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party. - Do not post telephone numbers or addresses that are not commercial.
For safety reasons we recommend that you avoid publicly posting your personal information. - Do not pretend to be someone you are not.
Don't impersonate any person or entity, including but not limited to, Alternative Nation Forums official, employee, volunteer, contractor, and/or affiliate. - Follow proper Internet etiquette.
Do not type in all capital letters, over quote, make "me too" or "I agree" replies. - Do not create an excessive Signature.
Your "signature" may not exceed four lines of text or . A typical signature contains the poster's name, e-mail address, web site, and a favourite quote or saying. - Alternative Nation's Officials have the final word.
If you have a problem or a complaint, privately direct it to our Administrators, and/or moderators. Do not make it a public issue. They will then take the appropriate actions accordingly. - If you do not agree with these rules, please do not register an account.

Considering the real-time nature of this community, it is impossible for Alternative Nation to review all messages or confirm the validity of information. Alternative Nation does not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of Alternative Nation, or those of any Alternative Nation Hosted Forums or anybody associated with such forums, whether they be linked from an official or unofficial web site.
You agree, through your use of this community, that you will not use our communities to post any material which violates Alternative Nation's Community Standards (this document). Alternative Nation retains the rights to exclusively determine what violates any of the standards or conditions and may make changes to them at its discretion without notice.
Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to immediately contact the Alternative Nation by reporting the post. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. Although Alternative Nation, or any Alternative Nation Hosted Forums is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete or edit any message for any reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold Alternative Nation, and any Alternative Nation Hosted Forums harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). Alternative Nation reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
Anything you post to Alternative Nation's Communities is treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and you waive any claims with respect to your submission. These submissions may be used by Alternative Nation, its partners, or its affiliates for any purpose. Furthermore you automatically grant Alternative Nation the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sub licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such Content (in whole or part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed. This content may not be copied or reproduced in any manner without specific written permission by Alternative Nation.
Alternative Nation reserves the right to suspend or terminate your subscription if you breach these terms and conditions, with or without notice and without further obligation to you.
Alternative Nation reserve the right to amend this agreement at any time, and without warning. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable then such provision shall be automatically modified to the extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable whilst preserving the intent of the Parties, and all other provisions of this Agreement shall be regarded as fully valid and enforceable unless otherwise proved. This Agreement shall be governed by the Laws of Scotland and the Parties hereto under submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts
POSTINGS THAT VIOLATE ALTERNATIVE NATION FORUM'S COMMUNITY STANDARDS,
THE MEMBER AGREEMENT, OR THE CONDITIONS OF USE
MAY LEAD TO THE DELETION, WITHOUT NOTICE, OF YOUR POST(S)
AND/OR MEMBERSHIP AND EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH IT.
Additional Information About Private Messages:
Alternative Nation considers the contents of your Private Messages to be the private communications between you and the people you have designated to have access. We will not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents of a User's private communications, except that User agrees Alternative Nation may do so: (a) as required by law; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) if necessary to enforce Alternative Nation's universal Conditions of Use and these Community Standards; (d) to respond to claims that such contents violate the rights of third parties; (e) to protect the rights or property of Alternative Nation or or that of any third party.
