Saying that these days I do prefer Exhorder but I don't think you need to say Exhorder OR Pantera, I say enjoy both contributions to thrash!
I'm actually quite interested in seeing which bands get the thumbs up in the ARG wacky world o weirdness. I'm guessing FNM is a big one and they're a quality band, but who else? | to be honest pretty much anything! calum will back me up half the thrash stuff he sends me i generally like it especially the german thrash he has sent me. FNM are a firm favorite with mush and urie, ive generally beein listening to some grond stuff like pig destroyer and soilent green and then a healthy dose of the zep as usual and also stuff like Isis and Burst. also wierder bands like ephel duath and stuff liek that.
to be honest our rehearsal sees more arguin about whit bands are pish than there even is on this forum, we jsut liek arguin really!

| Re: Metal Yer rants are nothing new... Genré labels such as metal, as well as hardcore and punk and pretty much EVERY other genré you can think of, have been slapped about willy-nilly by the media on so many different sounding bands that the terms really lose their meaning since forever.
But then, what meaning did they really have in the first place? Genré names are created by lazy journalists to try and label bands quickly and easy, journalists who constantly define and re-define their meanings as they please because they only exist to make things easier for them anyway.
MAYBE you should all just listen to and play to whatever the hell music you want, without caring what the fuck label is being slapped on it this week? As Wullie Shakespeare once said, "what's in a name?". |

I wouldn't say Pantera's albums had much in common soundwise especially with The Great Southern Trendkill: there weren't any songs like Walk or Fucking Hostile on Cowboys, there weren't any song like Suicide Note pt. II on FBD and then Reinventing the Steel sounding quite different to them all. | il give u that RTS was slightly different but they said at the time that they wanted to do somethign a little different hence the name REINVENTING the steel.
Wasnt part of this started by the fact that cowboys was different from the rest????
There arent any tracks on FBD like suicide note pt II? Use my third arm must have been someone else then aye?
basing your alcholism argument on being fat and sweaty is pish tbh.
stephen carpenter from the deftones is fucking huge. Is he an alcholic? nah was dino cazarez an alchie. Is everyone u know thats overweight getting pished all the time? |

Is my alcoholism argument pish? Me and Amoriffer can vouch that border line alcoholism makes a person who was traditionally healthy a fat sweaty bastard. Since I started drinking properly I've gained 8-inches round the waiste!
The difference between Dino and Stephen Carpenter and Dime is that they were alway fat cunts whereas Dime was still pretty slim when he was in his mid-twenties.
Not everyone I know who is overweight is getting pissed all the time BUT everyone I know who has piled on the weight having previously been skinny drink like fucking fish. The people I know who are as fat now as they were when they were younger are fat because they eat enough for Lisa Riley and/or do no excersize. The people I know who never used to be fat but who are now are fat because of a drink related way of life.

You should look into finding some quality Hair Metal bands.
