I really am sick of this term, i just turned on 120 metal minutes to be faced with never ending emo bands, and bands playing bad downtuned shite pantera riffs, as keith said, we should disown this term is has nothing to it anymore,no credibility, it doesnt mean shit, its a fuckin posuer term to describe poseurs. fuck em all! all those stupid fuckin fringes , what the fuck is screamin like an emo kid got to do with music? its fuckin bullshit it tell ye. i mean, fuckin hell, im fuckin ashamed of the term metal, the fuckin media has changed its meaning into something i completely stand against, fuckin dicks. those dicks in those bands consider themselves metal, they wouldnt know a good riff if it stabed them in the eye, so lets not give in, and lets reclaim this term and try to make it something respectable! i dont know how, but i reckon many people need to learn a lesson in violence that they wont soon forget!

Hmm, just don't watch or read anything that claims to cover metal. Zero Tolerance magazine is alright but I tend to just stick to a select few band forums for my metal news.

A good point badly made. In short, tv, magazines and radio these days are, for some reason, labelling bands that are not metal as, by no stretch of the imagination, metal. This is not a "but it's metal in other people's opinion" arguement, it simply is wrong.

I think some people are taking this thread far too seriously and out of context. As you can see by the time amoriffer wrote this, it was late and was therefore most likely pished and angry at the lack of his favourite metal music on what was calling itself a metal show. So instead of trying to highlight the mistakes in his argument when he was unlikely able to see the screen properly lets embrace the fact that YES 120 metal minutes is a barrel of shite
