Rob Rage is on a distinguished road
PUNKROCKBLUES (Acoustic Set) + WILDEBEEST (Covers Set) + HOTTER THAN HELL (KISS tribute support gig)

We're close to finishing our Summer Road Rage 2007 tour and will be posting up tour diary blogs and a bunch of new photos soon on http://www.myspace.com/atticarage soon.

But before all that, here are a few Attica Rage and "Attica-related" gigs happening this week with more than a bit of variety amongst them!

“Frontmen from three leading Scottish punk, rock and blues bands come together for an exciting one-off triple-header acoustic show under the banner of PUNKROCKBLUES. The punk element comes courtesy of Jonzip McNeill, frontman of first-generation Glasgow punk band The Zips whose recent CD album guitars4hire and riotous live shows are showing new audiences what real punk is all about. Jonny Parr of hard rockers Attica Rage provides a good dose of rock to the mix as he prepares to launch the band’s debut album later in the year. The bill is completed by Dave Arcari of alt.bluesers Radiotones who has more recently built a reputation as a solo singer/songwriter and ‘hell-raising National guitar madman’ with a string of CD releases and UK tour dates under his belt.”

Attica Rage played with just a 12 string acoustic and vocals. Jonny will be playing a few new tunes from the recent recording sessions along with Attica favourites and a couple of covers. JonZip, Jonny & Dave will finish off the night performing a couple of songs together. We’re expecting a busy wee bar so if you haven't already bought advance tickets, best come along for doors opening at 8pm. Tickets are available from the upstairs bar and entry on door is £5. Show starts 8.45pm. State Bar, Holland Street, Glasgow (across from Capitol and up and around the corner from Sleazys)

Friday 6 July @ Enigma, Dalry - WILDEBEEST

Jonny is moonlighting with another band! - the WILDEBEEST boys from Dalry have returned with a full 2 hour set of covers ranging from rock to metal to ska and others, playing a load of classics as well as rare album tracks that you never hear from the usual covers bands on the circuit:

WILDEBEEST are Rik Angelini (drums), Jock Maxwell (bass), Mark Borland (KONG / ex-JUNKYARD DAWGS guitar) and Jonny Parr (vocals, guitar), covering:

The Who - Rush - Accept - The Cult - Ian Dury & The Blockheads - Ozzy Osbourne - Motorhead - Pink Floyd - Iron Maiden - Rolling Stones - Thin Lizzy - Neil Young - Madness

This is their first gig with the new line-up so if you're in the area, get along for some good tunes and a good night out ......it is possible...even in Darly

From 9pm til late - free entry - Over 18s - Enigma bar on the main street

Saturday 7 July @ Barfly, Glasgow - ATTICA RAGE supporting KISS tribute HOTTER THAN HELL

Attica Rage are supporting European KISS tribute HOTTER THAN HELL at the Glasgow Barfly along with SYTH and FISTFIGHTS & FOREPLAY this Saturday.

We've already supported the other KISS tribute, Dressed to Kill, so looking forward to seeing Hotter than Hell. These guys do the full make-up, fire-breathing, pyros and classic KISS songs from all the eras so should be another great night out for all the KISS fans!

Tickets (£8) will be available from Jonny at the PunkRockBlues night and from the band earlier on the Saturday in the Solid Rock Cafe as well as on the door on the night - doors open 8pm, get along sharpish - over 18s - Barfly, Clyde Street, Glasgow

Hope ye can make it to either of the shows and help us finish off the tour with a bang!

Cheers!

ATTICA RAGE
