ATTICA RAGE SUPPORT DIAMOND HEAD AND BLITZKRIEG!

Two legendary and influential British metal bands are coming to Glasgow in April
and Attica Rage is supporting them both!

DIAMOND HEAD and BLITZKRIEG were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene that emerged in the early 80s, along with Iron Maiden, Saxon, Def Leppard to Venom and others. They inspired a new generation of metal that followed with Metallica & Megadeth citing both bands as an important early influence. Metallica famously recorded & covered Diamond Head's classic songs 'Am I Evil?', 'Helpless', 'The Prince' and 'It's Electric' and Blitzkrieg's signature song 'Blitzkrieg' as b-sides and still regularly perform them in their live sets.

Diamond Head released their latest album 'What's In Your Head?' on Livewire/Cargo in 2007 and the band toured the UK and Europe including KIT Festival, Germany, Diamond Head's first headlining tour of Ireland and the Hard Rock Hell festival weekend in UK. Blitzkrieg release their new album 'Theatre of the Damned' – co-produced by Biff Byford of Saxon - on Armageddon on 27th July this year and have recently toured with both Saxon and Doro in the UK as well as several European festivals including Wacken Open Air.

DIAMOND HEAD headline the Glasgow Barfly on Thursday 17th April with support from Attica Rage.

BLITZKRIEG headline Ivory Blacks, Glasgow on Monday 28th April with support from Intense, Attica Rage and 15 Times Dead.
